The waiting for Disney fans is over. Disneyland and Disney California Adventure were open to the public on Friday for the first time in over a year.

The Anaheim theme park, which closed in March 2020 due to a coronavirus pandemic, welcomed guests at 9 am

Currently, only California residents are allowed to visit Disneyland and California Adventure Park, and park participation is limited to the state-mandated 25 percent.

Other rules in place at the park include face mask requirements for all guests and cast members, contactless payments with Mickey Mouse and other characters, and cashless transactions.

Park officials remind guests that due to health and safety protocols, Fastpass and Maxpass services for vehicles and attractions are not available. Guests are required to use the Disneyland mobile app’s virtual queue system.
