Dolce & Gabbana has strengthened its senior management team. The Italian luxury brand has created a post for Group Communications & Marketing Officer and has appointed Fedele Usai in a new role. Unishi will also be responsible for Dolce & Gabbana Casa, the label’s new household goods division, whose first collection will be unveiled at the end of August.
The group did not provide any further details about this project, just stated in a press release that it was “dedicated to the development of the group’s global marketing and communication strategies.”
Usai was born in Cagliari, Sardinia and is also the vice president of Cagliari Calcio, a top flight football club. He has a degree in philosophy and started his business career in advertising. He worked for major Italian and international advertising agencies such as BGS, Bates, Leo Burnett and TBWA. After serving as CEO of an Italian subsidiary in 2009, he was responsible for global communications at Fiat.
In 2011, USAI became CEO in 2017 in collaboration with Condé Nast Italy. At the end of 2020, he left the US publishing company to join the Italian video production company Tender stories.
