Yesterday evening, a Fenton man shot and killed a woman, fired at a police officer, and then killed her.

At around 5:30 pm, police in Fenton City answered a phone call fired near the St. Louis College of Health Carriers at 1200 blocks on North Highway Drive, according to St. Louis County Police.

Upon arrival, the policeman was shot by a man fleeing the scene at the White Chevrolet Impala.

A male suspect led police to Kirkwood across Interstate 270, followed by a 10-minute follow-up. At the intersection of Big Bend Road and Old Big Bend Road, the suspect used his gun to kill himself.

An additional police officer responded to the location of the first firing phone that found a woman with a gunshot wound in the parking lot. She was declared dead on the scene.

The St. Louis County Police Department said the shooting “seems to be the result of domestic quarrels.”

One police officer broke the glass and was slightly injured when the police car was fired.
