Trump Jr. is one of the approximately 1,000 witnesses interviewed by the Commission as it worked to compile a record of the worst attacks on the Capitol for over two centuries. He is the second of Trump’s children known to speak to the Commission. His sister, Ivanka Trump, sat with a member of parliament for eight hours in early April. Her husband, Jared Kushner, was also interviewed by the committee.
Trump Jr. is no wonder in Congress’s investigation, testifying at least three times in the House and Senate investigations into Russia’s intervention in the 2016 presidential election.
After confirming Trump Jr.’s interview with the Commission on January 6, the two were not allowed to discuss private sessions publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.
