Donations needed after supply levels hit lowest point in more than a decade | News – Tucson, Arizona

Tucson, Arizona 2021-10-26 13:51:00 –

Tucson (KVOA)-The American Red Cross is calling on qualified residents to donate because their blood and platelet supply is at its lowest point in more than a decade.

According to the organization, an emergency declaration was issued last month due to the low blood supply of the Red Cross. Thousands of people across the country have risen to the opportunity to help, but the Red Cross said it will need at least 10,000 donations in the coming weeks to meet the needs of its patients.

If you would like to make a reservation for the Red Cross Blood Donation App, please visit the following website. RedCrossBlood.org Or call 1-800-733-2767.

Various blood donations will be held in southern Arizona in November.
