Douglas County reports COVID positivity rate of 30.2 percent – Omaha, Nebraska

Omaha, Nebraska (KMTV)-Douglas County Health Department said the county’s coronavirus positive rate for the week ended Saturday was 30.2 percent.

This is a slight decrease from 33% in the previous week.

The Department of Health reported 370 new COVID-19 cases in the county on Sunday. Since the pandemic began in March, there are currently 35,617 COVID-19 cases in the county.

No COVID-19 deaths were reported on Sunday, accounting for only 298.

As of Saturday, medical and surgical beds were 79% occupied and 314 beds were available, adult ICU beds were 78% occupied and 72 beds were available.

According to the Ministry of Health, there are 412 inpatients diagnosed with COVID-19, 111 of whom are receiving adult ICU-level treatment. There are 35 more interested people (generally waiting for test results).
