Dr. Harold Bournestein, a former doctor of President Donald Trump, died in 2015, saying that the then presidential candidate would be “the healthiest individual elected president”, according to a New York Times paid notice. .. He was 73 years old.

According to the notice, Bournestein died last Friday. The obituary paid did not indicate the cause of death or where he died.

Bornstein worked as a gastroenterologist at Lenox Hospital in New York. His father, Dr. Jacob Bournestein, was Trump’s primary care physician until his death in 1980, at which point he took over care.

Bournestein, wearing long-haired glasses, first made headlines on December 4, 2015, a few months after the Trump presidential election, by sending a letter declaring Trump healthy.

“If elected, Mr. Trump, I can clearly state, will be the healthiest individual elected president,” the letter read. Trump also received “only positive results” and claimed that “his strength and stamina are extraordinary.”

In 2018, Bournestein told CNN that it was Trump who wrote the letter.

“He dictated the whole letter. I didn’t write the letter,” Bournestein told CNN. “I made it while walking.”

Politico reports that the relationship between Bournestein and Trump has deteriorated rapidly since Trump took office in 2016.

In December 2016, Bournestein was pretty shy to talk to StatNews about the possibility of Trump dying in the office.

“If something happens to him, it happens to him,” he said at the time. “It’s like everyone else in us, isn’t it? That’s why we have the Vice President, the Speaker of the House, and everyone. They can just keep dying.”

A few months later, in February 2017, Bournestein said Keith Schiller, a longtime associate of Trump and then director of Oval Office Operations, broke into his office and stole Trump’s medical records. Insisted. Bournestein told NBC News in 2018 that the incident “raped, frightened, and saddened him.”

Sarah Hackaby Sanders, then White House Press Secretary, said at the time of the NBC News report that Schiller had not “attacked” and followed standard operating procedures, but Bournestein explained. I didn’t disagree.
