Dreaming While Awake: Congratulations and Reflections on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The Center for Contemporary Art has created a wonderful celebration entitled Dreaming While Awake in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. A celebration and reflection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., he explores the impact of Dr. King’s work on today’s civil movement and the artists engaged and advancing. Dreaming While Awake, January 16-18, 2021, offers virtual discussions, art exploration and free gallery admission to CAC on 909 Camp Street, New Orleans. Details – Click here.

This special weekend includes youth programming, art activation, an interactive altar, and a climax panel discussion. Dreaming While Awake guests celebrate the collective vision for the future, cross-examine and explore the crossroads of art and social justice. This special weekend of programming fosters connections and communities while exercising the role of an arts institution as a convenor of civil and political involvement.

Free admission to the gallery: January 16-18, 2021
