On June 16, 2022, a drug unit investigator at the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office and a detective at the Washington Police Department arrested 20-year-old Desmen Albritton in Aurora’s 106 Pamlico Court. Aurora and Chester Brown, 78, Aurora’s 1180 Royal Highway.
Albritton was charged with four charges: possession of fentanyl for sale and delivery, possession of stolen firearms, carrying of hidden guns, trafficking of over 400 grams of methamphetamine, and possession of marijuana.
Hill was charged with possession of cocaine for sale and delivery, fentanyl for sale and delivery, and possession of drug-related equipment.
Brown was charged with possession of fentanyl for sale and delivery and trafficking of methamphetamine in excess of 400 grams.
Their arrest resulted in the controlled purchase of fentanyl from Albriton by a drug unit investigator at the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office and a detective from the Washington Police Department. During a controlled purchase, investigators found Albriton’s mother’s residence at 106 Pamlico Court in Aurora, his father’s residence at 809 Fleming Street in Washington, and Chester Brown’s residence at 1180 Royal Highway in Aurora. I learned that it is used as a hiding place.
On June 16, 2022 and June 17, 2022, drug unit investigators and Washington police detectives at Beaufort County Security Officer’s Office at the 106 Pamlico Court in Aurora, the 1180 Royal Highway in Aurora, and the 809 Fleming Street in Washington. The investigation warrant was executed.
Investigators found about 3 grams of cocaine, about 13 grams of fentanyl, about 6.5 kilograms (14 pounds) of methamphetamine, digital scales, and packaging materials. The estimated value of the drug found is about $ 650,000.00.
Albriton was detained at the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $ 435,000.00 secured bond.
Brown was detained at the Beaufort County Detention Center under collateral of $ 250,000.00.
Hill was imprisoned at the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $ 50,000.00 secured bond.
