According to social media posts from the Sheriff’s Office and the Santa Cruz Police Station, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office stopped Andre Murphy while driving Saratoga Avenue in Saratoga on Monday night. Murphy’s backseat cashier reportedly included a cash and gift certificate for Santa Cruz’s Top Allot Yogurt on Water Street.

The sheriff’s agent contacted Santa Cruz police that night to confirm that the yogurt shop had been stolen. The police officer who responded found that the front glass door of the company had shattered and its register had been deleted. The stolen property was returned to the property owner.
