Superior, Nebraska (AP) — Authorities say employees who shot and killed gunmen in Nebraska’s grain elevators are likely to have prevented further loss of life.

Jeff Robbie, Nebraska Patrol Officer, said Friday that the victims killed in a Thursday shooting at the Superior Agrex elevator were 60-year-old Sandranelson in Formoso, Kansas, and 53-year-old Darinko Epke in Hadar, Nebraska. ..

Superior 61-year-old Max Hoskinson returned to the elevator after being fired Thursday and shot two victims and a third survivor, Robbie said.

Another employee recovered the weapon and shot Hoskinson deadly. Robbie said he couldn’t comment on whether Hoskinson had targeted victims who were all Agrex employees.
