Euclid, Ohio (WJW) – 70 years old Euclid The woman is recovering after police say she was carjacked after a cruel attack outside a convenience store on Sunday morning.

“This was a very vicious attack at 8:30 am,” said Euclid police captain Mitchhauser. “In the 26 years here at the police station, this is arguably one of the most brutal attacks I’ve seen.”

Security video obtained by FOX 8I team It shows the suspect waiting for the victim to come out of the store behind a parked car. As the victim approaches the pickup truck, the suspect runs up and begins to hold the key.

“They knocked me down and stole the 2018 Chevy Colorado,” the victim told the 911 Dispatcher shortly after the attack.

Euclidean police say the suspect slammed the victim on the ground and kicked her several times. Police reported that she had “knee-to-ankle ashes.” The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The victim’s vehicle was equipped with OnStar technology, which police could use to find the pickup. The pickups were vacant in Cleveland near 72 East and Donald shortly after they were stolen.

Police are currently searching for the suspect. The detective says the suspect is an African-American man in his late teens or early twenties. He is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds.
