Lauderdale County, Alabama (WHNT) — After about two weeks of execution, authorities say the search for Casey White and Vicky White has ended.

Rick Singleton, Sheriff of Lauderdale County, confirmed that both Vicky White and Casey White were detained after a police chase wrecked in Evansville, Indiana.

According to Singleton, Casey White surrendered to police and Indiana officials confirmed that Vicky White had been taken to the hospital. Gunshot wound due to self-harm.. Singleton said he didn’t know why they were in Indiana.

Vandenberg County Sheriff Dave Wedding said Vicky White attempted to shoot herself but did not know what part of her body she had shot. He said the car they caught was a Cadillac and the chase didn’t last long.

The U.S. Marshals Service reported investigating information at a car wash on South Weinbach Avenue that it had abandoned the 2006 Ford F-150 in Evansville, Indiana.

A national search for Casey White and Vicky White began on Friday, April 29th.

Law enforcement officials were looking for 38-year-old Casey White, a prisoner who was reported missing on April 29, and 56-year-old Vicky White, a former assistant director of correction, after leaving the Lauderdale County Detention Center. Despite sharing the surname, the two are not related.
