Blountville, Tennessee (WJHL) —Saturday was Evelyn Mae Boswell’s second birthday.
In honor of a toddler who had only lived for 15 months, the group Evelyn’s Army hosted a life celebration to remind them of the little Evelyn.
As a mother, Evelyn’s Army co-founder said Evelyn’s premature death encouraged her to start a movement that could spread positiveness and love in the name of Evelyn.
“I was particularly impressed because I have children of the same age … I also have a daughter,” said Kandis Cook. “If that happens to me and my child goes missing, I don’t know what to do.
“We wanted to respect her memory and do something to give her some positive heritage.”
The group released balloons exclusively for Evelyn at Evelyn’s graveyard to remind the 15-month-old mourning community that Evelyn is still important, remembered, and above all loved. Did.
A Virginia resident who attended the celebration of Evelyn’s life said she was waiting for little Evelyn justice.
“I’m here to show that Evelyn is still thinking about her, and that wasn’t right for her,” Dawn Hunt said. “Justice. I want justice.”
Megan Boswell is due to appear in court on December 3, and the state will announce the punishment sought for her charges.
