On Wednesday, a Delta airliner made an emergency landing in Charlotte due to mechanical problems. The plane flew in from Atlanta and landed safely with its nose gear up. No injuries have been reported.

A Delta spokesperson said in a statement to CBS News, “Nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and people. While this is a rare occurrence, Delta’s crew can safely manage many scenarios. “They have been extensively trained and Flight 1092 landed safely.” There were no reports of injuries. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers. ”

Skotarchak told the Associated Press that he noticed that the nose wheels were not in the plane’s shadow. If he hadn’t seen it, or he hadn’t been told to prepare for the landing, he wouldn’t have realized that something was wrong.

“The pilot said to us, ‘We’re going to land, you’re going to hear a big thud, and you’re going to hear a lot of scraping,'” he said. “But it was almost smoother than a normal landing.”

He said passengers were told to leave everything on board and get off the slide, which he called “the most amazing thing.”
