York County, South Carolina (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) – According to the York County Sheriff’s Office, a Chester man was charged with murdering a retired Rock Hill police lieutenant on Friday afternoon.
According to YCSO, Chester-based Evan Roberts Hawthorne, 27, received a murder warrant in connection with the death of retired Lieutenant Larry Vaughan of the Rockhill Police Department. Fox 46 confirmed to the Sheriff’s Office that Hawthorne was a former adjutant to the Chester County Sheriff’s Office.
