Clackamas County, Oregon (KOIN) — A 39-year-old woman allegedly shot and killed her loved one in an unincorporated Clackamas County apartment complex over the weekend, mourning the family of two men.
The Clackamas County Security Office arrested Amanda Gregson, 39, early Sunday morning after a Saturday night shooting at a Reflections apartment in Southeast Causey Loop near Happy Valley. She was charged with murdering both of them.
No further information has been released regarding potential motivations.
One of the victims, 56-year-old Jerry Barnes, was a brother, son, uncle, and “good friend.”
His family said they were taking his tragedy “one minute at a time.”
“This was a tragic loss for everyone who knew him,” said Scott Conger, Burns’ brother-in-law. “Keep praying for our family during this difficult time.”
The second victim was identified as 25-year-old Connor Gaines.
His stepfather, Robert Hollowway, told KOIN 6 News that Gaines was 26 in May.
“This young man had his entire life in front of him and it was cut short,” he said. “My wife is by my side.”
He said they would both truly miss him.
“His mom met him on Friday and hugged him, and he said,’I love your mom,'” he said. “I miss that child.”
