“It was just affectionate and funny, she was sometimes quiet, but when you got to know her, she was just a wonderful person,” Alexis Breland explained of her sister. “Reliable, you are always in your corner.”

Investigators say the suspect is still in the hospital after an off-duty lieutenant shooting him at a security shift in the store. Police officers were also injured in the shootout, but the Sheriff’s Office in Decalve told CBS46 that he was expected to be okay.

Another cashier was grabbed by a bullet during the shooting.
