Exploring Lakeland’s Lake Parker Park – Tampa, Florida

Tampa, Florida 2021-03-19 05:11:53 –

Many of us are looking for ways to stay active while keeping a safe distance from others.that’s why Sarah Finney We started a “walking club” to highlight some hidden and some lesser hidden trails and parks throughout Tampa Bay.

Lake Parker Park has been around for decades, but some say the gem is still being discovered by people living in Lakeland. The park is also a great place for visitors from outside the town! Conveniently located within 10 minutes from I-4.

where is it?

Pedestrians will want to enter Lake Parker Park at Gate 1. The address is:

910 Granada Street
Lakeland, Florida 33805

Gate 1 provides access to the promenade, picnic pavilion, playground, soccer field, tennis courts and boat ramps. There is ample parking.

You can enter the park from Gate 4. The address is:

820E Robson Street
Lakeland, Florida 33805

Gate 4 provides easy access to the North Pass, lawn bowling, shuffleboard facilities, and corporate picnic pavilions.

Currently, the promenade bridge is closed. That is, there is no connection between Gate 4 and the main park. If you want to try 3 of the 4 promenades, we recommend heading to Gate 1.

What are the trail options?

Lake Parker Park has four trails.

The forest path (.66 miles) is green on the map. Go around the original park built in the 1970s.

The North Pass (.76 miles) is red on the map. It goes around the lawn bowling and shuffleboard facilities. (As of 3/1, it can only be accessed from Gate 4)

The soccer pass (.76 miles) is yellow on the map. I will go around the soccer field.

The water pass (0.84 miles) is blue on the map. This is the longest path and acts as a connector to other loops. From time to time, pedestrians find crocodiles along the coastline of the waterways.

The striped pattern on the ground matches the colors on the map, making it easy to identify your current route.

Lakeland City

Don’t forget to check out Hernando’s landing! At the playground, we ask the children to come back again and again.

By the way, there are toilets everywhere in the park.
