Beaver, PA (KDKA) —The judge who presides over the Sheldon Jeter trial ordered additional security measures in Beaver County Court today as the lawyer is ready to present the opening discussion.
Jeter has been charged with shooting his best friend Tyric Pugh in May 2020.
Pew was found dead in the city of Aliquippa last spring.
Investigators say Jeter’s car has a surveillance video that pulls him away from the scene. They later say they found what they believed to be a murder weapon under Jeter’s bed.
Twelve juries and four agents for the trial were finalized on Wednesday. The opening statement is scheduled for this morning.
The trial is expected to last for several weeks.
Jetter has also been asked about the death of his ex-girlfriend, Rachel Deltond. Evidence against him in that case was submitted to the grand jury. However, Jetter has not been charged with her death.
