“Falcon High School suspends football program activities
“September 21, 2021
“Dear Falcon High School Family,
“FHS managers are working with district leaders and law enforcement partners at the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office to continue investigating reports of serious misconduct related to the FHS football program. To ensure the safety of athletes, all activities related to the FHS Football Program will be suspended until further notice.
“Student, family and staff safety is indisputable. We are working hard to analyze multiple reports and confirm testimony and other evidence, which complicates the investigation. We will continue to promise to investigate all critical claims until we reach an appropriate and endorsed conclusion.
“Due to the privacy obligations of personnel and students, we will not disclose any particular claims or findings except for individuals who need to know for safety or accountability reasons.
“We thank our law enforcement partners. We will continue to work aggressively to ensure that a safe environment awaits all District 49 students and athletes. Please continue to monitor your communication channels regularly for updates as they become available. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
“From the bottom of my heart
“Dr. Darryl E. Bond
“Principal of Falcon High School”
