Family sold house, lived on the road in RV for nearly a year during pandemic – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 2021-09-13 23:43:00 –

The Florida family put school education and life in their hands during the pandemic. The Clemmons family have lived away from RVs and traveled the country. They’ve been on the road for almost a year, turning their passion into a lifestyle. Like many of us, they were stuck at home last year working and studying hoping they were traveling. So they decided to make their dreams come true. “I lost my mother in early 2020 after many years of long-term care,” said Jen Clemmons. Her husband, Mark, lost his father a month later. And a pandemic occurred. “So we don’t just sell everything, we homeschool our kids, and we just travel,” Jen said. Not only was he on board, Clemmons said he couldn’t wait to take his three children to the road. Clemmons sold his home for nearly 20 years, put on wheels and moved to a new home. “We moved on October 1st, and we’re here this year, and it was great,” Mark said. This week they are in Montana. But they are constantly changing places. So far, I have visited 17 states and 18 national parks. Jen and Mark meet at the University of Central Florida and are college lovers with three children. Now they are on their next great adventure and haven’t looked back. “American Dream doesn’t have to overbook your child and work 60 hours a week,” Jen said. “Reading it in a book is not exactly the same as seeing it in person, so it can mean taking children and showing them the world.” Clemmons indefinitely on the road I plan to stay. Their original plan was actually to sail around the world. But last year the catamaran was running, so they ended up in the RV. So taking it to the water is the next adventure.
