New Ashford, Massachusetts. (WHDH)-(WHDH)-The Red Sox-Yankees match at Yankee Stadium on Saturday was temporarily delayed after fans threw baseball at Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo.

Manager Alex Cora pulled the socks off the field for a few minutes after the incident.

Fans who threw the ball at Verdugo were sent off the game by security.
