The FBI’s El Paso, Texas office is investigating reported assaults on female military personnel by male evacuees in Afghanistan at a complex in New Mexico.

The FBI says it is investigating reported assaults of female military personnel from Fort Bliss Army Base by male evacuees in Afghanistan.

Service members reported that an Afghan refugee staying at the Donya Ana County Range Complex had attacked her. Local report.. The complex is located in New Mexico, about 25 miles north of Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas.

“We have been referred by Fort Bliss and our office is investigating the allegations,” the FBI office in El Paso told NPR on Saturday in a statement.

The name and age of the woman have not been published and details of the nature of the assault are not available, El Paso Times She reported being attacked by a “small group of male evacuees” on September 19.

“We have seriously and appropriately referred the allegations to the Federal Bureau of Investigation,” Fort Bliss spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Ally Payne told the television station. KVIA..
