Tampa, Florida — Long before the sun rises, chef Daniel Graves and his team of sous-chefs began preparing Thanksgiving treats such as beautifully roasted turkey and appetizing cornbread dressings.

Trinity Cafe Executive Chef Graves is responsible for feeding hundreds of people every Thanksgiving as part of Feed Tampa Bay’s mission to feed those in need.

“I look forward to going to work every day. My service to these people is as important to me as my staff, and the loyalty we have to them, We take it very seriously, “Graves said.

Thanksgiving is a big day for Trinity Cafe, but its work is non-stop. The free, full-service restaurant prepares meals 365 days a year for those with food insecurity or looking for healthy nutrition.

For Graves, this work in particular has made this Thanksgiving a reality, with rising prices and the protracted effects of the pandemic causing financial difficulties for many throughout Tampa Bay.

“That’s why we are preparing the biggest day of the year, because we now know that it will be a big deal for the people there, especially the guests. And we are for them. I’m going to be here, and we’re here for those who go through. No questions. We serve everyone, “Graves said.
