From the staff report
Local job seekers can connect with 23 companies in the Tulsa region and more than 300 employers in 21 states during a virtual career event.
Offering local news and advertising in 77 markets nationwide, including Tulsa World, Lee Enterprises hosts a free event that lasts until October 25th.
The website tinyurl.com/worktulsa gives job seekers virtually access to online “booths” of local and domestic companies, much like Tulsa World’s long-standing face-to-face job fairs. When job seekers select a booth, they can learn about the company, see all the positions they are looking for, and apply online. If your employer has signed up to chat online or on video, you can schedule it.
In addition to browsing the companies involved during the event, job seekers can inquire about open positions by filling out an online form. Interested employers can then ask for a resume.
“Tulsa World is always proud of its success in traditional face-to-face job fairs,” said Tulsa World Media Co. Kathryn Bezler, Job Manager, said. “We are confident that this success and experience will provide us with the same quality results through our new virtual job fair. We are very pleased to be attending this national event with Lee Enterprises and are looking for a job seeker. We believe that not only will local employer candidates be offered even more options. “
