Nashville, TN (WKRN) — The day of Mrs. Jill Biden’s wife, who left Washington, DC on Tuesday afternoon, was the beginning of the rain.
The First Lady stopped by many times to encourage people to get vaccinated at Jackson State University and the Oresmoky Distillery in Nashville. Biden has multiple trips planned to deal with stagnant vaccine numbers across the country.
“This was bad, but now there are ways to improve it,” Biden said.
Biden arrived in Jackson, Mississippi, where the vaccination clinic was distributing doses of Pfizer and Moderna to students. She was greeted by city officials and Congressman Bennie Thompson on arrival.
“There is a place where you feel just like’oh’when you come in, and that’s exactly how this place feels to me,” Biden said.
The First Lady targets rural areas and schools on national tours. As the White House admits, the president’s goal of vaccinating 70% of American adults by July 4 will probably not be met.
“It’s hard to believe how far we’ve been since this point last year,” Biden said.
When the First Lady arrived at Music City shortly before 5 pm, Congressman Jim Cooper and Nashville Mayor John Cooper greeted her when she got off Air Force Two.
Biden Participated in an event at the Oresmoky Distillery with country music star Brad Paisley.. The First Lady returned to DC from Nashville International Airport after 7 pm.
