Nashville, Tennessee (WKRN) — Flash flood surveillance is taking place in much of central Tennessee this weekend. The clock runs until 7 pm on Sunday. Both days are sometimes wet with heavy rains.
Rain and storms occur before sunrise on Saturday and continue until the afternoon. Most of the rain on Saturdays falls from morning till 4 pm. From Saturday evening to early Sunday morning, the rain will settle down.
Rain showers and storms again on Sunday morning before sunrise, lasting until the afternoon. Rainfall of 1-3 inches is expected this weekend, but total rainfall may increase in some areas.
In the area south of I-40, there is an increased risk of flash floods. However, everyone needs to pay attention to the weather this weekend.
The heavy rain threat will continue until early next week. We won’t dry until the cold front moves in the middle of the week.
