Portland, Oregon (KOIN) – During an overnight patrol, Sergeant McMinville police heard a call for help while checking for a flood in Joe Dancer Park after the rain and didn’t give up until he caught the man. ..

Sgt. Police said the New House thought they saw a flashlight or cell phone light on the tree limit, thinking of a cry for help from the trees across the park. He made a call using PA, but there was no response. He called the McMinville Fire Department, who brought an infrared camera, but it didn’t help.

However, fire brigade captain Barsotti also saw a flash of light. At around 3:50 am, TVFR sent a water rescue team to stand on a log, grab a tree, and give an inflatable boat to a man surrounded by water.

The man who said he was asleep when the rising water awoke him was able to return to the parking lot around 6 am.

The man, whose name was not disclosed, told police he thought he would drown. However, McMinville police, fire and TVFR efforts saved him.
