Florence, South Carolina (WBTW) — According to Captain Mike Brandt of the Florence Police Department, police are investigating another shooting and puncture wound in Florence on Tuesday night.

According to Brant, a puncture wound was reported at around 5:16 pm on 200 blocks on West Palmetto Street. According to Brant, William Ashley Singletary was detained on Arby Street near Darlington Street and charged with attempted murder and possession of weapons during a violent crime.

According to Brant, the stabbed person was seriously injured but was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

Around the same time, police officers were called to 500 blocks on Commander Street for the victims of the shooting. According to police, one was found in a seriously injured but non-life-threatening injury and was taken to the hospital.

Police said a man in a sedan called the victim into his car, 500 blocks on Stackley Road, and as the victim approached, the suspect began shooting and left the area in the car.
