Portland, Oregon (KOIN) — According to the Portland Police Department, a 24-year-old Florida man was arrested on a Trimet bus Saturday afternoon for shotguns, pistols, and other weapons.

At 1:18 pm on Saturday, police officers responded to reports on the Southwest Beaverton Hillsdale Highway and Southwest Bertha Boulevard that someone had a shotgun on the bus. According to PPB.

Officers found Jarrod Deferrari at the back of the bus. He was uncooperative, but did not threaten police officers or others with a shotgun. The police officers eventually persuaded Deferari to get off the bus without pointing his gun at anyone. They were able to drop other passengers off the bus and arrest Deferali.

In addition to shotguns and shells, Deferali was found with loaded handguns, restricted knives, and metal knuckles. They were confiscated as evidence.

No one was injured. Deferrari was charged with four charges: illegal possession of firearms, two possessions of loaded firearms in public places, and carrying of hidden weapons.

Deferari was also charged with destroying property during a riot in Portland after the November elections last year.
