The mourners are expected to meet today at the State Capitol to pay tribute to former Louisiana Governor Edwin W. Edwards, who died Monday at the age of 93.

The State Capitol is open to the public from 10 am to 7 pm.

Then on Sunday, the remains of Edwards will be moved by carriages and honorary guards through the streets of Baton Rouge to the Old State House for less than a mile.

He rests on Sunday at the Old State House and holds a private ceremony for family and close friends.

The fourth governor died on Monday due to respiratory problems that have plagued him in recent years. He had been hospice care for about a week.
