Anderson, South Carolina (WSPA) – KeysoMoss’ football career began in Anderson. He attended TL Hannah High School and took his football talent to California and Mississippi.
He said he couldn’t play in the NFL because of an injury, but his love for football and Anderson didn’t diminish.
“There are a lot of great athletes around here and they are cracked,” Moss said. “I felt I needed to go home and put my energy, time and motivation home and let these people know that there are people from your hometown who can also contact you.”
On Saturday, Moss held a training camp for more than 60 children to teach new skills in the field and build relationships.
“There’s a lot going on in Anderson, South Carolina, including death and children’s troubles. It was a great time to let young people know,” This is the way you need to go. ” “
Moss said he understands the challenges facing some children. He struggles with school and sports juggling and wants these kids to go the right way.
“You have to be good at school with football. You have to put it all together. You have to be consistent. You can’t do it someday. More than a day I have to do it. “
Moss wasn’t the only one in the camp. He brought a team of coaches. Some of them were from Anderson.
Nick Hampton, an outside linebacker at Appalachian State University, said:
They hope that the lessons these children have learned on Saturday will be with them for the rest of their lives.
“We want to see these connections we have forever,” Moss said.
Moss said he wanted to open a camp every year.
