Pocatello, Idaho (eastidahonews.com)-A former live-in nanny accused of persuading teens to use drugs has reached a plea bargain with Bannock County prosecutor.

Wanda May Mansfield, 34, pleaded guilty to a child for a felony and instead denied a felony for possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor for possession of drug-related equipment. ..

Judge Robert Naftz of the District Court will rule Mansfield on July 12.

Mansfield was arrested on April 7, after persuading a 13-year-old girl to smoke marijuana and take care of her to lie to her parents and school managers. The girl described some of the drugs she smoked in Mansfield as “weed crystals,” and researchers suspected that drug use might contain more serious substances.

While caring for Mansfield, the girl allegedly purchased online using her father’s credit card without his permission.

Mansfield faces one to ten years in prison and is fined up to $ 50,000 for felony injuries to children.
