Tallahassee, Florida — Former National Football League and Florida wide receiver Travis Rudolf was arrested Wednesday morning by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office for a single murder.
The Sheriff’s Office at Palm Beach says that after midnight, lawmakers responded to the double shootings that resulted from the quarrel.
Upon arrival, the agent learned that the man had been taken to the hospital for treatment.
Another man was found dead in the nearby city of West Palm Beach.
PBSO states that the other two have fired and have not been injured.
A total of four people were “shot” by Rudolph, according to the report.
PBSO said it had arrested 26-year-old Travis Rudolf for further investigation.
Rudolf has been charged with four counts of one planned murder.
He is not currently detained in PBC prison.
He was a member of Florida State University’s football team from 2014 to 2016 and played for the New York Giants from 2017 to 2018.
Darren Cameron, senior director of Public & Player Relations at Winnipeg Blue Bombers, said Rudolph signed with the Canadian Football League team in December 2019 but never played for them.
“The organization noticed Travis Rudolph’s arrest this morning and was subsequently released,” Cameron said on Twitter Wednesday.
His first appearance is scheduled for Thursday.
