When looking for a new job, LinkedIn is often a natural place to communicate and make connections.

A less common platform for professional athletes, the former Patriots full-back Dan Vitale III seems to be keen on the transition from athletes to mainstream workers.

Nominated 6th in the draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2016, Vitale played for four seasons in the NFL. He opted out of the 2020 campaign with the Patriots and released him last month. Vitale confided through LinkedIn on Saturday the news that his football career was over.

“I feel like my body is ready to move forward,” wrote 27-year-old Vitale. “I’m looking for a new role. Thank you for your support.”

He said he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Northwestern University and a minor in integrated marketing communications with business institutions.

“I’m passionate about whatever I decide on my mind,” Vitale said. “I work hard toward my goals and seek improvement in every aspect of my daily life. Thank you for the connections, advice, or opportunities you can provide as you move on to this next stage of my life. . “
