NS. Lewis County, Missouri (KMOV.com)-A former St. Louis County police officer charged with the death of a girl was found not guilty on Friday.

A 12-year-old girl was attacked by a St. Louis County police officer in a police car near the North City-North County line on Monday night.

Preston Marquart was charged with two unintentional manslaughter charges for the death of Akeelah Jackson. Marcourt was tracking a car near 8900 blocks on Halls Ferry Road in October 2019. Prosecutors said the former police officer was traveling 58 mph in a zone of 30 mph without lights and sirens. According to police, Jackson was attacked by a police car before police could stop the speeding car.

“You have to live every day. I know that the rest of my life killed my 12-year-old kid. I didn’t have the opportunity to actually experience life,” said Jackson’s father Willy. Told.
