Freshman assemblywoman shares thoughts, plans in her new role – Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas (KLAS) — Hispanics have left a legislative footprint in Silver State.

Affordable housing, affordable medical care, and returning students to the classroom are new student priorities. Nevada Parliamentarian Elaine Marzora.. She is one of three newly elected Latino Americans in Nevada.

Marzola represents District 21 and covers parts of the city as well as parts of Sunrise Manor, Whitney and Henderson.

She shared her thoughts and plans for her new role at 8 News Now on Monday.

“I have an Affordable Home BDR (Draft Bill Request) I’m currently working on. The language isn’t finalized yet, but it provides the tools needed to provide affordable homes. Will give you. ” Marzora explained.

She added that she has a lot to learn and do, but she believes she can work with both parties to get things done.
