Fresno, CA (KFSN) –To commemorate Pride Month, Fresno Rainbow Pride hosted a drive-through resource fair at Fresno City College on Saturday.

“People are enthusiastic at home,” said Jeffrey Robinson, CEO of Fresno Rainbow Pride. “People are anxious to return to the life they want.”

A local nonprofit decorated the booth and dressed in pride for today’s event.

“I hope they get the feeling that things are going back to normal,” Robinson said. “May you come here and start gathering.”

They say that such events and the pride flags outside the city hall remind the community that they are here.

“The flag of hope, a symbol of the beautiful flag of pride in Fresno City Hall, sends such a message to our community and those in distress,” Robinson added.

Fresno City College hosted the event.

Fresno City College Veronica Salmeron Sosa’s Next Step Program representative said, “I think this makes a lot of sense across the campus, but I personally recognize it as an LGBTQ employee, so it’s very supportive. I feel like I am. “

Participants also had the opportunity to obtain the COVID-19 vaccine in partnership with UCSF.

“We are here as a place open to everyone, no matter how we perceive it as a university community campus,” Salmeron-Sosa added. “We are here just to enrich people’s lives.”
