The city of Fresno is asking people to complete a brief investigation to find out where they want to see the $ 170 million from the US rescue program go.
Money can be used in four general areas, including the impact and recovery of COVID, spending on improving public safety and infrastructure.
Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer says the category is broad, but the survey allows residents to delve into what they need in particular.
He says this money will help neighborhoods that feel left behind, as many parts of Fresno are experiencing higher poverty rates than the rest of the state.
“This money is probably more important to everyone in the state, and that’s why we want to invest wisely and make sure this money pays big dividends over the years to come,” he said. Said.
Participants must live in Fresno to complete the survey.
