Fresno State routs San Jose State 40-9 in season finale – Fresno, California

Fresno, CA (KFSN)-In a Thanksgiving match, Fresno State Bulldog routed San Jose State Spartans to 40-9 at the CEFCU stadium.

The Bulldog is the winner of the Valley Trophy, following his 84th match against Spartan. They are currently leading the entire series 43-38-3.

Quarterback Jake Hayner threw more than 300 yards again, ending the day with 343 yards and four touchdowns.

Many bulldog players scored on Thursday afternoon and four different players entered the end zone.

Ronnie Rivers led all receivers with 91 yards of reception, and added 65 yards above the ground to finish at 156 universal yards.

Jalen Cropper, Jordan Mims and Juan Rodriguez also recorded bulldog touchdowns.

With the victory, the Bulldog ends Season 9-3 and continues to compete for the Mountain West title game.

If San Diego lost to Boise on Friday, both the Bulldog and the Aztecs ended with a 6-2 meeting record, giving the Bulldog an edge by defeating the Aztecs directly.
