Riverside, California 2021-07-29 22:44:41 –

The Summer Olympic Games will be held from September 19th to 22nd at Morgan’s Wonderland in San Antonio.

Corpus Christi, Texas — Members of the Corpus Christi Police Department exchanged badges to serve trays at the Texas Roadhouse on Thursday night.

The annual “TipA Cop” fundraiser happened to raise money for the Special Olympics in South Texas.

CCPD Law Enforcement Torch Run, along with Roadhouse, worked together to make that happen.

Approximately 2,200 athletes are competing in 14 counties in the region. The event is held quarterly and all the dollars collected will stay in South Texas to fund athletes’ spring and summer games.

“The Special Olympics coming out of COVID hurt as many people are putting off fundraising, so we’re trying to help these athletes catch up to have a playground,” Henry said. Lieutenant Mangam said.

The Summer Olympic Games will be held from September 19th to 22nd at Morgan’s Wonderland in San Antonio.

“Without funding, we can’t compete in the Games,” said Angela Brenman, a Special Olympics organization. “We cannot give back to athletes at health fairs and all of the various inclusion activities we do for them.”

The Spring Match will be held in March 2022 at Flower Bluff High School.
