Law enforcement wants Chris Laundry to direct them to places in the Carlton Reserve where Brian claims they may be hiding.
The trip was supposed to take place on Wednesday, but a Laundry lawyer says police postponed it.
“Chris Laundry was asked today to assist law enforcement in searching for Brian in the reserve. Chris and Roberta may be Brian because the reserve is not open to the public. In the only place he believed, Chris couldn’t find Brian. Unfortunately, Northport police had to postpone Chris’ involvement, but Chris and Roberta have another opportunity to help. “I’m looking forward to it,” Stephen Bertolino said in a statement.
On Thursday, Bertolino confirmed that Chris Laundry was actively involved in the search. “Chris Laundry is helping law enforcement agencies look for Brian today. Chris was asked to point out his favorite trails and spots that Brian might have used in the reserve. Chris and Roberta Laundry provided this information verbally three weeks ago, but now it may be better to provide on-site assistance. The reserve is not open to the public and the laundry is closed. However, my parents have been working together since the search began. “
On Wednesday, law enforcement agencies combed the Carlton Reserve, an approximately 25,000-acre reserve in Sarasota County, Florida.

Bertolino also recently confirmed that Brian returned to Florida and then returned to Utah during the couple’s expedition.
Lawyers say Brian went to Florida to get some items and close the storage unit, leaving his fiancé alone in the west.
Laundry returned to Utah on August 23, four days before Petito was last seen alive. The 22-year-old Petit was found dead in Wyoming on September 19.
The laundromat returned to the Tampa area five days after he and Petit were stopped by police in Moab, Utah, when witnesses reported that the couple had been involved in a domestic violence incident in Moab.
A lawyer in his family says he last met him on September 13th, not the next day, as his parents first told the police. They say he went hiking in the nearby Carlton Reserve.
Clarification came after further communication with the FBI.
“Laundry was based on a date Brian remembered for a particular event. Upon further contact with the FBI and confirmation that Mustang was in Laundry’s residence on Wednesday, September 15, Brian was in the reserve. I believe in the day I went hiking in. It was Monday, September 13th. “
