Gulliven’s Ferry, South Carolina (WBTW) — Gulliven’s Ferry nurses are put on probation for one year after pleading guilty to illegal possession of prescription drugs.
Carrie Ann Matarese, 41, pleaded guilty on Thursday, according to the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
She was sentenced to 90 days in prison, suspended and put on probation for a year.
According to a February 2020 survey, Matarese, an associate nurse at Conway’s Compass Post Acute Rehabilitation Center, has obtained a controlled substance prescribed by the residents who care for her, according to the General Prosecutor’s Office.
There was no evidence that the inhabitants were not given the prescribed medication.
