Cleveland (AP) — Myles Garrett Recorded a franchise record 4 1/2 sack at Justin Fields, Cleveland Browns When Browns hit the Bears 26-6 on Sunday, he defeated Chicago’s rookie quarterback nine times on his first NFL start.

Garrett spent Field Day against Fields, who was pushed into the lineup after veteran Andy Dalton injured his knee last week. Bears (1-2) was patient and didn’t want to play the 11th overall pick until he was ready.

Browns (2-1) didn’t give him a break, and their defense, criticized for their performance in the first two games, put it together at Fields’ expense, bringing Chicago to just 47 yards and six first downs. I suppressed it.

Former Ohio State University stars were under pressure from the beginning. He completed 6 out of 20 passes at 68 yards. Bears’ biggest offensive play wiped out intercepts with a passcut, winning 48 yards.

Jadebeon Crowney has added two bags for the Browns.

Cleveland took full control, surpassing Chicago 418-47.

Kareem Hunt scored a 29-yard run in the fourth quarter, ending with a 155-yard rush (81) and receive (74).

Baker Mayfield threw a touchdown pass to Austin Hooper and completed a 77-yard five-pass to star Odell Beckham Jr., who played for the first time since his knee injury at the end of the season on October 25.

Chase McLaughlin kicked 57, 52, 41 and 28 yards of field goals for Cleveland.

The Browns wore a throwback uniform to commemorate the 75th anniversary, and the match against another famous NFL franchise was dominated by defense, giving it the feel of a 1940s or 50s game.

The Cleveland attack couldn’t find a foothold until the second half, as Chicago’s defense fired Mayfield five times and superstar linebacker Khalil Mack won twice.

Mack went out with a leg injury in the first half and didn’t come back until the third quarter. However, even though the six Pro Bowlers returned to the field, the Bears couldn’t stop the hunt with his scoring run early in the fourth.

For most of the first half, Chicago’s attack was, well, aggressive.

Fields was fired in a series of plays, four times in total, as the Cleveland front brought heat from all directions. The Bears had only 24 yards before punting, leaving 2:54 before halftime, and a total of 14 yards before picking up the second first down.

The only glorious spot in Chicago was the kicker Cairo Santos. Cairo Santos made a pair of field goals and converted the last 31 straights.

Before the match, Beckham warmed up with golden headphones and a “juice laundry” T-shirt in honor of his best friend and teammate Jarvis Laundry. Jarvis Laundry will miss at least three games after being on the disabled list earlier this week.

Beckham’s first catch was 13 yards (his number) and was targeted nine times.

Sideline insurance

The game was suspended for a few minutes in the fourth quarter when members of the chain crew were flattened by Browns’ tight end David Nyok and Bears’ defensive back Eddie Jackson.

He was checked by medical staff and taken to the locker room.

Browns: Rookie CB Greg Newsom II (calf) remained in the second half. He had a split pass and three tackles before leaving.

Browns: Next Sunday I headed to Minnesota and spent 14 seasons as an assistant before Stefanski came to Cleveland.
