Gate motor theft on the rise – Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas, Nevada 2022-05-17 22:14:57 –

Las Vegas (KTNV) — A robber stolen by a camera in Solaire’s apartment.

13 Action News got an exclusive video of the theft stealing a gate motor from an apartment on the east side.

Currently, the Westland Real Estate Group is warning residents and other complexes about these rare increases in theft.

Westland Real Estate owns approximately 35 apartments around Las Vegas, including Solaire Apartments on Karen Avenue.

Yanki Greenspan, president of Westland Real Estate Group, says the gate motor was stolen at several facilities in the middle of the day.

According to Greenspan, about 5-10 units in the complex were stolen gate motors.

Greenspan believes that thieves are selling stolen gate motors for profit because the motors are expensive.

Greenspan said some of their complex had been attacked, but Metro police said they were unaware of other reports of the gate motor being stolen in 13 Action News.

The Westland Real Estate Group has installed high-tech cameras and steel cages around the gate motors.

I want to make it a little harder for thieves to steal.
