Junction City, Kansas (KSNW) – A man in Geary County was convicted of 21 charges resulting from a 2018 murder program.
According to Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt, Grandview Plaza’s Samuel Ibarach, 31, was convicted in the Geary County District Court on Tuesday. Ibarra-Chu was found guilty of all 21 counts, including two counts of the plot that committed one murder.
The case was investigated by the Kansas Research Bureau and the Geary County Drug Task Force, which consists of the Junction City Police Station, the Grandview Plaza Police Station, and the Geary County Security Officer’s Office.
From July 11, 2018 to August 21, 2018, Ibarra-Chu colluded to hire a hitman to kill two of Geary County’s assistants and confidential informants. The plot was discovered before the murder was carried out.
The other two proceedings allegedly involved in the plot are pending.
Ibarra-Chu will rule on June 25th.
