Giant Eagle announced on Monday that it will resume wearing face masks, cloth masks and face shields for all customers and staff, including vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals. The company requires all Giant Eagle, Market District and GetGo staff to wear face masks, cloth masks and face shields from August 4th. The company urges compliance with the same mask requirements from August 6th. If you do not have a mask, we will provide you with a free mask. Giant Eagle’s curbside pick-up and delivery service will continue to be available. According to the company, the introduction of the Delta variant created a new sense of urgency. Giant Eagle said it is actively considering future directions regarding potential immunization requirements for all employees.

According to the company, after August 4, all Giant Eagle, Market District, and GetGo staff will be required to wear a face mask, cloth face cover, or face shield.

The company urges customers to comply with the same mask requirements from August 6th. Customers who do not have a mask will be provided with a free mask.
