Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails celebrates female entrepreneurs – Albuquerque, New Mexico

Albuquerque, New Mexico 2020-11-19 10:45:13 –

Albuquerque, New Mexico (KRQE)-Thursday is Female Entrepreneurship Day. Studies show that girls are actively interested in becoming entrepreneurs, building an economically stable future, and using their skills to influence the world.

Rebecca Latham, CEO of Girl Scouts on the New Mexico Trail, discusses the organization’s entrepreneurship program and how young people can learn and expand their ideas and interests. Girl Scouts offer the opportunity for girls to learn to think like entrepreneurs by participating in activities that stimulate curiosity, self-confidence and innovation.

Girl Scouts offer the opportunity to explore a variety of career paths, networking skills, and mentorship options, both traditional and non-traditional. This program allows girls to acquire essential life skills, work together as a team to achieve common goals, and build confidence in solving problems.

Young people can start Girl Scouts in kindergarten, which goes through grade 12. For more information on the Entrepreneurship Program, please visit nmgirlscouts.org or visit the Girl Scouts Facebook page on the New Mexico Trail.
