Like fashion and art, it didn’t take long for the cosmetics industry to embark on the NFT (digital tokens resulting from unique products and services) epidemic. Celebrating Pride Month Givenchy Parfums is working on this parallel universe for the benefit of the Le MAG Jeunes Association, which supports and accompanies LGBTQIA + youth and works daily to fight LGBTphobia.
Some have already talked about the death of NFT, while others have, for good reason, decided to explore the world of irreplaceable tokens for the first time. Givenchy Parfums is the first cosmetology brand to launch an NFT that supports LGBTQIA +. The French home, in collaboration with London-based gallerist Amarsin and rewind collective artists, offers digital works for sale in a limited edition of 1,952 copies with the support of the Le MAG Jeunes Association.
The rewind collective work, entitled “Pride,” takes the form of a series of animated portraits based on photographs digitally recreated by the artist in the colors of the rainbow flag. Givenchy Parfums explains that each portrait is designed to represent a battle for diversity, self-affirmation and equal rights.
This virtual artwork in Pride Month colors will be available for purchase on the VeVe platform from June 21st to June 26th. All proceeds will be donated to the LeMAG Jeunes Association.
